On old wisdom says that all journeys have a secret destination, about whom the traveler got no idea. The Turkish pop singer Pamela would agree with this, because she had been traveling a lot in her life and discovered later the deeper meaning of her early restless life. Her father is an american citizen of British descent, her mother from Turkey and she was born in Heidelberg/Germany, where her father was stationed with the NATO. Later she grew up in the U.S., Germany and in the UK experiencing a childhood between continents and cultures that all got one thing in common: the love for pop music.

At 15 she learned the language of her mother, when she started living in Turkey, and discovered her passion for the stage when she was starred in some musicals. Later she worked in musical projects and bands and learned to entertain and sing where it is best to learn: live on stage.

In 1998 she moved to Istanbul after graduating from Hacettepe University State Conservatory School of Drama in Ankara and started to look for new challenges. Later she took a role as a lead actress in the musical “They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?“ in Istanbul that finally convinced her to stay in Turkey in order to bring her artistic talent to full development. For a while she was just an insider’s tip, but when she was starred in a TV commercial in 2002 she became famous overnight in the whole of Turkey. Soon later she got a record deal with the label Imaj Müzik and a her debut album „Eger Dinlersen“ been released. The first single „Ayrlamayz Biz“ became a hit and was followed by sold-out tours through Turkey. During this time she starred in another musical called „Mucizeler Komedisi“ while recording her real big breakthrough second album „Sehir Rehberi“ in 2004, with whom she earned stardom. The single „Istanbul“ was the hit of the year, rotated on MTV in a loop and brought her not only the Turkish Music Award „Kral“. In 2005 it also won the award for the best Turkish song in the rock category. In 2006 her third album „Cehennet“ continued the success of its predecessors and Pamela established herself as a fixture in the contemporary Turkish pop culture. Instead of continuing to write songs and to focus exclusively on music in 2007 she gave more attention to her second major passion and talent: acting. In 2007 she finally took a lead role in the serie „Kelebek Cikmazi“ and became a critically acclaimed TV actress too. During all this she never turned her back on music. Instead Pamela continued to write songs and listened not only to pop and rock, but also to electronic club beats. A new influence that marks her album „Stil Zengini“. This time she landed in the Turkish charts with songs that also move dance clubs during the night.

ideedeluxe records released her album „Stil Zengini“ now outside of Turkey. The 12 tracks of the album have an international soul and that foremost because Pamela sings not only in Turkish, but also in English. The music grooves between impulsive Pop, Dance and R & B. A lot of songs are made for intense radio rotation and show us a quality that only real big pop artists can call their own.

The first single-release is „Say What You Want“ incl. a grandiose Sinan Mercenk Remixe package. In the video to the English song she dances sexy in a club and sings with a cool attitude about love and passion, that everyone feels quickly attracted by.

So welcome one of the biggest Pop voices of Turkey.
